The RTM process begins with loading dry fiberglass or similar reinforcement into the mold cavity. Once the mold is closed, the resin pump pumping both catalyst and resin simultaneously to the mix head, then mixes the resin and catalyst together as a single component and injects it into the mold until the mold is completely filled and the resin appears at the vent ports. The mold is then left closed, for the cure time of the resin, at which time the mold is open and the finished molded completely cured part is demolded and is a finished component.
