LRTM - Light RTM
The LRTM process is well suited to meet up-to 13 parts per day—daily molding cycles. With LRTM you're able to produce parts with surface finish requirements ranging from smooth to class A on both "A" and "B" sides. Gel coat can be applied to both the "A" and "B" surfaces, though most commonly only applied to the "A" surface if used at all. Fiber loading percentage can be met up-to 40% by weight. Filler load can be met up-to 50% by weight. Cores are supported in all materials—foam, wood, etc. Threaded inserts can be molded into almost any design to reduce post production work.
VARTM - Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding
The VARTM process is well suited to meet up-to 3 parts per day—daily molding cycles. With VARTM you're able to produce parts with surface finish requirements ranging from smooth to class A on the "A" side. Gel coat can be applied to the "A" surface. Fiber loading percentage is greater than 55% by weight. Filler load can be met up-to 10% by weight. Cores are supported in all materials—foam, wood, etc.
